Enjoy the charm of Nerja
If small towns appeal to you more than any city jungle or the quietness of village life, then Nerja is a place for you. Nerja sits only 55km east from Malaga, convenient distance from the main airport and in general, a gorgeous town for your home on the Costa del Sol.
Nerja is situated right on the mediterranean coastline, the heat reaches over 30°C in the summer months and a minimum of 13°C in the winter. Of course, once the sun is down the temperature does dip but thankfully not like a chilly night in Britain.
Mountains and sea views around
Nerja offers a plentiful amount of facilities in the region: family run shops, english schools and glorious beaches. There is an old town which hosts an array of restaurants catering to both the Andalusian and world international specialities. In the evening, walk down to the bars and join the locals to eat tapas; drink wine and even practice your Spanish skills.
Being a coastal town, there is no surprise of it’s energetic water sports community offering activities like scuba diving, banana boating, kayaking, and parasailing. The next day you can take to the dry inland to climb over 2000m mountain called La Maroma. All within a short distance of 1 hour from the centre of Nerja.
To see the best of Nerja is to reach the well known viewpoint called ‘Balcón de Europa’ centred in the old town. From this point, you can see an immense view of Costa del Sol, it is truly spectacular.
